FACE TO FACE THERAPY CONSULTATIONS – KEEPING YOU SAFE

All clinicians and therapists working at The Allure Health Clinic have had to make a number of changes to make it possible to offer face to face therapy consultations. These include making hand sanitiser and hand washing facilities available to all clients and following the guidelines for their respective professions.

In addition you may feel reassured to know that The Mindset Clinic uses removable chair coverings which are washed and replaced between clients.

Doors will be opened and closed for you so you do not have to touch any surfaces.

All hard surfaces will be disinfected and soft furnishings will be sprayed with antiviral spray between consultations.

The room has been reorganised to allow 2m distancing.

In addition the building is fitted with an air filtration system that cleans the air.

Water bottles and tissues will be provided for you but please dispose of them at home.

A plastic tray has been provided for you to place any items in. It is disinfected between clients.

I will be sanitising my hands between clients and taking my temperature several times a day.

APPOINTMENT TIMINGS

Face to face therapy consultations will be scheduled 30 minutes apart to allow clients to enter and leave the building with little chance of interacting with another client.

It will not be possible for sessions to overrun.

The maximum session duration for face to face consultations will be 90 minutes.

YOUR ARRIVAL

The waiting area will have reduced capacity and we are asking that all clients arrive no earlier than 1-2 minutes before their appointment.

Please wait in your car or outside if you are early.

There are markings on the floor that help us to maintain 2m distancing.

FACE COVERINGS

You will be required to wear a face covering in the public areas of the building. You will not be admitted without one unless you are exempt from wearing them.

I am happy for you/us to wear a face covering or visor in the session if you prefer.

TEMPERATURE CHECKS

On arrival your temperature will be taken and you will be asked to use hand sanitiser. Your appointment will be cancelled if you have a temperature or refuse for it to be taken. If you refuse you will not be refunded the cost of the session.

CHILDREN

I ask that parents accompanying children aged 8 years old and over wait in the waiting area or preferably in their car for the duration of the consultation. Please do not bring other siblings or family members inside the clinic.

You will only be able to accompany your child into the consultation with prior agreement or if they are 7 years or under.

CHAPERONES

If you require a chaperone for your appointment they may wait in the waiting area or preferably we ask that they wait in their vehicle. I can call them to let them know when we have finished so they can help you to gather your belongings and leave.

PAYMENT

Payment is to be made by BACS ahead of the session

TOILETS

The toilets will be available for clients however if possible please go to the toilet at home before your appointment as toilets need to be cleaned after each use and I will need to do this within your session time.

CANCELLING AN APPOINTMENT

Usually I require 48 hours’ notice to cancel or amend a booking. Please let me know with as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. If the reason is COVID related you will not be charged.

IF YOU OR I BECOME UNWELL

I am committed to keeping you, me and our families safe. If you or I are unwell then we will need to reschedule the appointment.

If you or a household member becomes infected with COVID-19 please inform me as soon as possible so that I can take appropriate action to safeguard others.

If I test positive with COVID -19 you will be informed so that you can take appropriate action.

YOUR CONFIDENTIALITY IN THE CASE OF INFECTION

If you have tested positive for COVID-19 I may be required to notify NHS track and Trace or the local authority that you have been in the clinic. The reason for your visit will be kept to the minimal information necessary and the detail of your visit will not be provided.

If we have a COVID -19 confirmed case reported in the clinic you will be advised if we believe that you were in close contact so that you can self isolate.

ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS FOR THERAPY SESSIONS

I have offered online or telephone sessions for a number of years and they are very popular with clients.

Using Online or telephone calls means that your therapy can continue if you or I become unwell or have to isolate, and continuity of care can be maintained.

I use a range of services SKYPE, ZOOM WHATS APP, FACE TIME. We do not have to use the camera if you prefer not to.

I can help you to access these services if you don’t know how to.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IF YOU ARE SYMPTOMATIC

If you are experiencing any coronavirus symptoms, however mild you must not attend your face to face appointment. You should contact your local test centre and begin self isolation.

Please email me or call me on 07803 603 882 and leave a message.

We can reschedule the session for online or face to face once you have tested negative. Proof of a negative test will be required to resume face to face consultations.
